will this work with XBOX One X ??

also if it can, does it need an enclosure or just like that???
Yes, it works with Xbox One X. I put the 1 tb version in mine.

You can use it with an external enclosure and your games will get the benefit of decreased load times. You can also swap it out with the internal drive and your system (outside of games) should overall get snappier.

In terms of benefits to game loading times, there is no noticeable difference between using it as an external drive versus an internal drive.

Combine with Chase quarterly cashback on paypal to drop the price an extra 5%. In for 3, been replacing a bunch of smaller drives, 250 GB, 500 GB Samsung EVO SATA SSDs and a 1 TB WD Black from 2011

Would this be reasonable to put into an external enclosure to use for backups and/or holding large video files for editing?

Follow-on question - suggested external enclosure for it?

Is this a good model?
M2 are faster, the problem becomes, is on most PC's you are limited to 1 maybe 2 m.2 slots on your motherboard. They are not how swap, most PC vendors will but operating system on the M.2 device in the system. Then you are basically left putting any extra m.2 drives in an external USB drive, Even the newest best systems, limit the drives performance to 1/2 what it is on a internal m.2 drive. They also run hot if you access the data.

Normal SATA SSD's run cooler, are slower, but only require a SATA cable and a power connector to be inside. They can run externally via USB or eSATA. And starting to get cheaper for larger capacities.

I wonder if BBY would price-match this or they will consider it a Black Friday deal and won't match it.

Yes. That's exactly what I use this same drive for. (I paid more, obviously).
I use an external enclosure by Ugreen. Sabrent is another good brand in my experience. I'd just make sure the enclosure has USB 3.0 or higher. (Not USB 2.0).

if you have an amex card on your account with Amex points most people can get 20-40% using a Amex point on the order. I have it on 5 of my amazon accounts, makes buying things on amazon so much cheaper when there are promos from amex, Chase, Discover card etc.. do a search on here as there is a post on the most current amex amazon promo and see if your account qualifies with the link in the post!
