Great TV at an incredible price. I picked up the 77" during the last Prime Day in July for $2,400 and 0% interest for 12 months.

This is a rare instance where the previous year's model is better than the current year model, grab one while you can.

Yes… got it! My Costco has 7 of these but I checked daily and price is still is $2500. Amazon deal is fire. Now let's see if they do something crazy on a 83" OLED to blow this deal away. Haha I could nearly see my phone when I was looking to order. And whoops ordered. Haha

Man, I just bought a 77" C2 a couple weeks ago for $2,500. This will be $2,160 after tax. The C2 is slightly better according to Rtings [rtings.com]. But I wonder if it's $340 better? Or, more to the point, is it worth $340 for me to try and return a 77" TV? I'd have to rent a truck and get a friend to help. I'll probably just keep what I got....

This is a great deal, though!

(P.S. There should be a way to block certain categories for a period of time after you've made purchase. So you don't get bombarded with buyer's remorse triggering deals. laugh out loud )
I think you got a helluva deal on the C2 for a summer pricing. Also, as the experts are saying, the C2 is a slight improvement over the A80J, so I would say you should have no remorse. We video enthusiasts will always be second guessing ourselves but as good as a deal this A80J is I think you got almost as good as a deal on the C2. Curious, where did you get your C2 at that price?

Does anyone have this in a bright room? Looking for an upgrade for my living room and Rtings has this listed as good for dark rooms.

Just looking for some lived experience.

Buy now, regret later.

Is burn'in still a serious concern for gaming with OLED? I have an Xbox Series X and am wondering if I need to be concerned at all about playing Call of Duty in particular. Has anyone actually experienced it on these panels?

Oh man. Pulled the trigger. Can't wait to live the OLED life. Been waiting for the C1 to go back down to 2k but this is a push for me.

I originally had the A80J 77 in my living room with lots of windows. It was good for watching sports but whenever we watch movies with dark scenes it was just too dark.

We have moved the tv into the bedroom and it performs much better.

The living room now has a Samsung QN90A 75 and it's a much better tv for watching any content.

Both my wife and I prefer the QN90A. The black levels are just as good as OLED to our eyes. And watching sports is even better than on the QN90A.

Go with QLED for your bright room.

Read my previous message. 😀 I would go with x95j for a bright room. It's not oled but I bet it'll perform better in a bright room.

This is the deal I promised I would buy if it came around ($1999 for 77") and I still hesitated for 2 hours hoping it would just sell out and I could save the money. I watch movies 3 or 4 nights a week. I have a dedicated media room with a 65" CX that I sit approximately 7 feet away from. I have no problems with it but I always wanted a 77". Is the upgrade necessary? Absolutely not. Is it the ONE hobby that I have in my adult life? Pretty much. Will I use it enough to justify the purchase? I believe so.

0% interest over 12 months made it even harder to resist. It's just easier to see the $166/mo and not have buyers remorse.

Free returns until January 31st finally pushed me over the edge.

Thanks as always SD. I think.

Does anyone, that happens to already own this tv (specifically the 77"), know what the measurement is from the bottom edge of the TV to the bottom VESA mount screws?

Good post. Same rationale for me too. I have 100 days to return my Hisense and the delivery on the Sony is a month out. Worst case I can cancel the Sony if I decide the Hisense is enough for me. My costco still has 5+ of the sonys but still listed at $2400.
