So marking the walls with laser light instead of pencils or painters tape is so easy for hanging anything. And you can stand back for a better perspective and adjust positioning as needed without getting on a ladder. Can also check the level of existing things from a distance, especially across long spans of walls without moving a ladder around.
I've since purchased a cheap tripod for mine. At least this one has a clamp mount included. Once you try one, you'll understand how convenient they are.
I have this laser level - it's not bad. It can be a little fiddly to get those minor height adjustments etc, and you have to have the unit itself relatively level for it to work. However, for occasional use, the price is great.

This implies that if you wanted to level something at a specific angle (30deg, 45deg, etc.), you'll need to find the angle and prop the laser at that angle.
Also, if the laser isn't "perfectly level" it will slow blink, telling you it isn't level.

Thanks, you've convinced me. Now the question is do I bite now or wait for BF?
The green one is much better (of course more money). But you can use the green outdoors, in large rooms, across large distances, and in bright lighting. The red one you won't be able to see.
But I do recommend getting a quality Bosch unit, instead of no-name knock offs. The Bosch's hold their resale value, and you can always sell it used on ebay or at a pawn shop if you don't want it anymore. Whereas the no-name knock offs are worthless when used.
