Save an extra $12 off with locker pickup using code PICKUP12OFF.

64GB Price changed to $123.49. Use Costco Card for added warranty.

Return Policy: Returnable thru January 31, 2023 in case Apple comes out with a better and cheaper version.

Ordered mine and code applied successfully. Been waiting for this. It seems like a new version might come out this October after all. Hopefully won't make this deal bad.

Has a holiday return period started on Amazon yet? I may wait for new Apple TV in rumor..
I thought of waiting as well but they came out with new model last year/earlier this year? So I doubt new one will be announced this year. I am hopeful though. lol. Till then, will continue using my xbox.

Quick question. I have a first gen Apple TV that a buddy gave me. I have a few apps on it. If I buy a new Apple TV, do I just login on all my apps or do I need to transfer something over from the old Apple TV? Only reason I'm asking is that I do not use any other Apple products and would have no way of signing in to anything Apple.

Yeah I was trying to give mine to my mom so she can use as HomeKit hub, which I also use mostly hub as well. So it has to be Apple TV. (Or I can buy HomePod but rather have tv than speakers don't answer me.)

Not worth more than $25, these are awful compared to Roku.
Have you used both? I want to see which one works for my needs. I have Apple devices and always worked flawlessly and never laggy. Have used android tv and fire tv stick and they are laggy and sometimes not responsive. Have used roku stick couple of years ago and it is was laggy to occasionally

Roku Ultra just works so much better. Apple TV is way too archaic with much of it designed to force you into Apple's services instead of the third-party services you actually want to use.

For me personally the ability to air drop an image or video to the tv from my iPhone is worth its weight in gold. No other smart device has such a feature that's as seamless as it. If you have people over at your place. Or business and need to show something on a large tv, sort of like a slide show but don't want to go through the hastle of connecting an hdmi cable to your laptop. Just for that alone I will use it and nothing more.

And I have Roku where you can do something similar with windows 10 and the connect feature. It's just it's not perfect and it can be tempermental at times.
You are talking about Airplay correct? The Roku Ultra devices I have support Airplay. I can mirror my Mac / iPhone / iPad screens, play videos, show photos, etc. I'm not sure if its missing anything that the Apple TV does. I don't use it a whole lot (I Chromecast more often), but it is nice to have on occasion. I haven't had any problems with it, it works flawlessly, much better than the Apple TV 2 I had years ago which is one of the most unreliable Apple products I've ever owned (granted the new Apple TVs are completely different from that older Apple TV).

The person you were responding to was talking about the Fire Stick, though, which doesn't have built-in Airplay support, but apparently there is a 3rd party app (AirScreen). No idea whether that works well or not.

So this is just a set top box that doesn't give you anything? $110 and all you get is a silver box and a remote control, you have to buy everything else you want to watch? No shows, no movies, etc?

This is *the* set-top box. You can access anything with the exception of Roku that you already have, whatever free services etc.

It also is one of the best 4k up-converters that I've seen so far - so if you've got a really nice OLED TV and you're watching something that's technically 1080, it actually looks better (sort of how some BD players had better DVD upconversion).

or was that a rhetorical question?

HDMI-CEC is supported, some TVs have apple interoperability:

So this box gives access to everything for free? And why do you seem so sure that I have a Roku? I don't by the way.

$110 seems like a lot of money to spend just to have the opportunity to spend even more money.

Just a heads up, Apple is supposed to be releasing an updated Apple TV soon. But I don't know what it would offer that this one doesn't. Only thing I've heard is that it's supposed have the iPhone 12's processor and it's supposed to be cheaper than last gen. Doesn't seem likely it will be this much cheaper, though. So this is a good deal IMO.
It will probably have hdmi 2.1
