I suspect, most people won't bother returning it and it prevents people from expecting price matches. Their shtick now is convenience, not best prices.

Buy another one and return the new one received as the first purchased one that way you don't go through the hassle of reinstalling everything and the vendor gets a new one back.

I bought on Amazon last week, the prime day came out and I called them to get a price match. Amazon says no and I should return and purchase for this price (great business acumen on their part 👎🏽) I did just that and uninstalled, returned free, bought at this price and will have it tomorrow. Saved $55
