This is a solid deal. I've owned EGO products for 4 years now, all have been great. LM2022SP is what I have, after 4 years (of moderate usage) the unit quit turning on. Even the headlights wouldn't come on. The power unit apparently had died. Called Ego customer service, they initiated a warranty claim. Dropped off the mower at a local repair shop, after about 3 weeks a new mower was delivered. Ego decided a replacement was cheaper than repair. At-least their warranty process is easy to deal with.

Solid deal. I have this same mower and it has no issues mowing my St. Augustine grass when I accidentally let it grow too much.

Only thing I wish the battery came with the individual light bars instead of just a green/yellow/red light.

I'm heavily invested in Milwaukee power tools but can't bring myself to spend $1k on their mower. It comes with two 12ah batteries which I don't need. Wish they would sell the tool only version...

May have to pickup this ego even though it would be the only ego tool I own...

Good deal. The battery alone is like $150. I would buy it if I didn't have one already. If amazon delivers it then it probably won't take a beating either

Some find it easier to clean or maintain. It's also more durable if you're constantly mowing over leaves and twigs. My original EGO 20" with the hard plastic deck and single blade still works fine after 7+ years.

It's down to personal preference. Steel offers more protection against rocks, sticks, etc. Plastic will not rust and is lighter. So if you have a lot of rocks and willing to do cleaning after each mow, metal is better. If you think the other parts will die first and don't like to upkeep, plastic is better.

also note that rust absolutely will rust through a whole deck. won't be in one year but it does happen. take a look at used ones on craigslist or Facebook, rust is one of the main reasons mowers "die".

I have a steel deck. It's completely rusted out. I reached out to ego within the warranty period and was denied. They said it was "user error".

That being said, I still use the mower constantly and would buy an ego again in a heartbeat. My unit still works fine but the underside is slowly chipping away and eating away at itself.

At some point, I'll probably do a full clean out and apply raptor liner or something similar.

I've seen them listed for sale on FB marketplace and craigslist before. Milwaukee has a standard 3 year warranty on OPE so I'm sure that applies to the mower as well.

I know many have great experiences with Ego, but I did not. After three years I was sick of the mower being underpowered for fall leaf mulching, as well as battery inconsistencies in summer heat. I babied those batteries and kept them inside during the winter. Was very disappointing to find that the batteries would register as dead, but then find the charger says they're full. I eventually went back to a trusty gas Toro and never going back unless gas goes to $20 a gallon.

My string trimmer from them also crapped out after three summers. The auto string loading was always garbage, and eventually the motor head decided to set itself on fire. Once smoke was coming from it after 5 minutes of use, I was done.

The only Ego product I still have at this point is the blower. Usually have to run on turbo to get adequate power, which causes the battery to only last about 7-10 minutes.

Again, some people love these products, but I don't think they're as good or besting gas yet.

I am the same. I couldn't justify the $1k for the Milwaukee so I purchased the 2135SP from Lowes a few weeks ago for $599 as the reviews were good. So far I'm happy and glad I didn't dish out the extra $$$. It cuts well and lasts about an hour without using the self propel function.

My only issue is it struggles on my lawn to cut less than level 3 which isn't horrible, but just means I need to cut about a week earlier than I would if it could go down to level two.

I'm sure this one is just as good and is a few hundred cheaper again.

Crap. I wish this popped up a few days ago, but, then again, I'm a little snakebit on rechargeable mowers.

I bought a Ryobi 40V less than 3 years ago, and it died this past weekend. Along the way, (and some of it early on), the screws holding the handle assembly to the plastic frame would constantly loosen, the spring loaded handlebar pins broke, etc. I kept it going, but then the motor just kind of died - with either battery, the motor would run a few seconds, then just die. I don't know if it was the wiring/circuit from the start button to the motor, or maybe the batteries were both going, but for the amount of use I put into it (not heavy or terribly frequent), I didn't want to invest the money in repairing or replacing it. Yes, I know the Ego is probably a better made product, but…

In a pinch, I went back to a gas mower for less money, but if this deal existed over the weekend, I may have gone for it to give rechargeable one more shot.

How does this compare to the one at Costco?

Solid mower and has good run time. Like it better than my 10 year old greenworks. This is a decent deal to buy into the eGo system. For about $200 more you can get a bigger self propelled mower with a quick charger and battery that has lights on it showing charge level.

This one is brushless so that is good if you don't mind no self propel and want to save a few $.

For me the LM2125 was worth it for the bigger battery at 7.5ah, self propel, and rapid charger. The rapid charger is fan cooled so it won't get too hot charging and you can throw it on there after mowing and not worry too much. I'm not sure if the standard chargers all have a fan.
