Pretty sweet little computer for the price. I take it this is a standard mini ITX size motherboard/case....don't know why they can't include that anywhere in the description.

Are you sure it is mini ITX since it is using 5900HX Mobile processor and sodimm RAM?

Custom board, but I can see how you could think it's ITX based on size:
HX90 with case is 195x190x60mm vs ITX 170mm x 170mm.

Well they do make mini itx with both fp6 socket and sodimm compatibility that being said the CPU is most likely 'embedded' in the socket. But no I'm not certain of anything really.

Love this little pc. Mine gets 13.9k cinebench r23 scores. Plays older games with no issues and is a monster for office work type work/development.

I am using a six year old fanless mini pc which I would like to replace. I have gotten used to my silent pc and am wondering how loud the fan sound on this pc is under normal office usage (email; web browsing; word processing etc; NO games or movie/photo editing needed). Or perhaps this an overkill for my usage? Your comments/impression will be appreciated since you are a current actual user of this pc.

For just email, web browsing, word processing, etc, you have a lot of choice of decent laptop at this price that can do all those things easily and more portable since has keyboard, touchpad, speaker/(likely mic also) and screen, etc.

Its a great system however, it falls from greatness when you add a second 2.5" drive as it will corrupt data on ata2, which is the current issue i have.
Works fine with 1 2.5" drive but goes belly up with 2 drives inserted.

My Alienware alpha that I've been using as a Plex server for the last 6 years just died. This looks like a decent replacement

More details? What kind of drives do you have in it, what OS, was it barebones and you put your own components in or was it pre-setup and you added a second and third drive on SATA?

Were these SATA HDDs or SSDs? How many did you try, just once with one drive?

What was your troubleshooting process and did you confirm you did it correctly?

Got this earlier this year to replace a broken mini home server. It's been a rockstar, running plenty of docker containers and has a local usbc disk array running zfs. Only issue is plex can't use the video card of course, but serves out lots of direct play content without breaking a sweat.

I have the second drive in there without any issues.
