Thanks what I was thinking also, assuming my Walmart+ grocery orders would qualify for the 6%.

When they launched the cash plus card, more categories included, later removed lot of categories, hopefully they continue the categories without messing

I'm on board with this as an additional card, but I'm hoping they don't end up converting existing Cash+ cards. If I had to choose I'd much rather have the 5% categories than 6% at specific retailers. This is is especially important for my boom sticks and accessories, which I buy from various sporting goods stores.
Got 2 of their cards including the Cash+. That 5% category can be pretty useful.
Not biting on a new card unless I get the $200 though.
They like to sell em at US Bank though. The other day I walked in and they tried to sell me a 12 month CD at the new "higher rate" of 1.4%. lol.

Cap of $90/qtr is harsh... while this would be a great addition, I feel like this would quickly become another worksheet in excel I'd have to manage. Plus I'm still mad as US Bank. Taco Bell/McDonald's/Wendy's/BK etc... even Steak and Shake are listed as 'Fast Food', Chipotle is 'Quick Service Food' and the local pizza place is 'Takeout Food'. All fail to qualify for my bonus category of restaurants.

This sounds awesome but you can only change your categories every 3 months? So if I pick chewy and Amazon as my 6% and a month into the quarter I want to buy a $2000 laptop from apple. I can't change my category to apple to get 6%. That's seems crazy

I suspect their list of 6% retailers will shrink once they get plenty of applicants for the card.

Hmmm, if they offer a sign up bonus, I'll def start using this card. 6% Walmart and Home Depot, 3% Costco, and then still have my Target debit card for 5% off there, and Chase Amazon Prime card for 5% there, then Citi Double Cash 2% for everything else.

Love the 3% Costco - not sure if you can find better than that anywhere else?

My question is this 6% Disney. What does that mean? Disney could be almost anything. If the 6% applies to anywhere where a normal Disney gift card would be accepted, this would be golden!! If it only applies to, say, Shop Disney or other Disney retail stores only, then no thanks. Although if Gift Cards are not excluded (I get 10% CB on Shop Disney with another cc that does allow me to use it on the eGift Cards you buy there), then this is back to being okay.

3% in bills and utilities looks pretty damn good. i probably spend more on those than costco every month.

for the 6%, i think i would do walmart and amazon

nah. Cards like these usually don't. This isn't too much of a departure from their cash plus. More cash back but also more restrictive. There isn't much perks after all.

agree!!

whoa i just learned about the cash+ card. is there any way to find out exactly what each category covers? there's not much info on the official website (https://www.usbank.com/credit-car...-card.html).

i want to see exactly what they mean by ground transportation and home utilities. i'm hoping ground transportation covers tolls and trains

i might get rid of my citi custom if the cash+ can do another category
