i don't believe it is possible anymore. if you have something like utility/electric bills that doesn't take credit card, you can use the gift cards.

You might be able to get lucky and find a store that will let you buy a money order with them, but most places only let you use chip cards or cash now.

What are those ways? At this point, it's really not worth the time and money and points unless you live on the roof of a Staples.

Setup a pin on the GCs and load them to an Amex Serve card at FD or DG store. Then use an ATM and withdraw. Option 2 is load to your Amazon card and use for purchases. Some Walmarts allow MOs under $99 but that's a hassle.

Not worth it. I've gotten gift cards stolen before and it's a waste of time trying to fight it. By the time I went to use it. It was $0. Someone was able to drain it.

I bought about $15K worth of Visa GCs late last year to meet a SUB and additional bonus. I just finished using my last one a few weeks ago. Not an issue with any of them.

I bought 5 $100 Visa gift card from Meijer.com and they only loaded credit for 1 out of 5 cards. It took me two weeks for them to load the other 4 cards. Make sure you check all your card balance and use it ASAP. Never again gonna buy any Visa gift card.
