I got a 7 Pro yesterday. It definitely got warm (but not "super hot") during the data transfer from my 4 XL, but has been cool ever since. Haven't encountered any software bugs either.

The only issue was it couldn't pick up any signal at first, but it turns out Verizon just gave me a defective SIM. I did a SIM swap and have had perfectly fine signal since.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. They're paying surprising prices right now. My S10 5G is still pretty mint though because I only bought it a few months ago to replace a cracked LG v50 in a pinch, but I'm in no hurry to upgrade. Them offering more than I paid makes it tempting, just not sure I want the Pixel bad enough to pay the difference.

You have to pay in full for the device, it's a rebate not a straight up trade-in offer.
