is there anywhere that is allowing me to trade in a Z Flip 4 towards the Pixel 7 Pro?

I am thinking about trading in my S22 for the P7P.

When I go through the BBY site my trade in value is only $290.

How do I get the higher value posted of $540 posted on the first page?

BB is giving me $490 for an iPhone 11 128GB not the $500 posted here...

Just got an email from Google saying that my S21 trade in doesn't match the original estimate. Which is a total lie since the phone was sock drawered since new and always had a case and screen protector on it. I left the screen protector on it when I sent it in so I'm guessing that could be why they're claiming it doesn't match the full trade in value.

Awful.

Now I'm going to have to waste time making sure I get a full refund for everything.

I'm sorry but that was your fault for leaving the screen protector on. It's ok though google are easy to deal with in shipping the phone back (they'll overnight it to themselves) and will ship your phone back without issues.

Just adding another data point about what may happen in instances where the trade in value credit is higher than the original charge. I chatted with support today and they said the full amount of credit will go back to the original form of payment. However, if it will be given as a store credit if there are any issues during the refund process.
I've done this in practice on two Pixel 6a a week ago.

I paid $349 for them (price matched from BB), and traded in two iphone 8 for $385 credit each.

I received my full refund amount ($349) back to my card, and the excess as store credit. So, if they told you that in my circumstance you'd receive $385 back to your original payment method, that hasn't been my experience.

It's a higher trade-in value this time because there's no gift card involved, isn't it?

Oh, wow. I'm glad you commented this. It kind of changes a lot for me as I had a Best Buy trade in set up and about to let expire because I would rather have gotten an excess refund from Google. You just saved me (and probably some others) some disappointment, regret, and a headache.

Any recommendations on a good case for the Pixel 7?
I bought this one on Amazon:
Crave Dual Guard for Google Pixel 7 Case, Shockproof Protection Dual Layer Case for Google Pixel 7 - Black

We have these on our Pixel 6's and they are great. Good Protection and Good grip so you won't easily drop your phone.
Looked at at lot or cases and liked these the best.
Check it out.
Well I just read the reviews after I posted this reply to your message, have not received the cases yet, might have to reconsider after I try them out. The case was great on the 6. We will see.

Leaving screen protector ON is an issue ? I just traded in Pixel 6 for a 7 at bestbuy and left the Zagg Invisible shield screen protector ON and had no issues. If this is indeed an issue sometimes I will have to keep in mind to remove the protector for future trade-ins.

Google's Trade in Experience has been rather abysmal. They have been known to lower the trade in estimate without reason. Or worst of all, saying that the battery is swollen/defective and adjusting the trade in value to zero. All this for phones in pristine condition.

Then also their shipping to the Trade in facility is pretty bad. A lot of phones get stuck in Nashville, TN without a delivery scan for days/weeks.

It will be a stressful time for a lot of folks doing their trade in. In Store Bestbuy would have been a better option for most.

Screen protector is not an issue. I've traded in phones with a screen protector before successfully.

However, Google does adjust the trade in value down for whatever reason without providing any explanations. This is true for even phones in mint condition.

Unfortunately no where do they tell you to remove cases or screen protectors.

Oh well. Hopefully best buy does another promo with in store trade in.

Any suggestions on selecting 'accept new value if it changes after inspection ' for trade in?

Especially now with only BB offering the gift card.
