This was 2 years ago lol, their motors are extremely popular within the go kart community, all I had to do was buy a frame, motor, clutch and chain. I am pretty sure electric tech for a $199 go kart is not super expensive and also stolen. I honestly don't care who makes it, free market allows good products to thrive and bad ones to sink, sorta like this according to reviews

It's the batteries that are expensive. Wasn't clear that you were talking about the price of an engine only. Not sure how comparing the price of just a gas engine that you built a go kart around to this is fair at all, but the Sam's one sold out pretty fast so I guess there is some kind of market for it

It's Sams club, everything they put on a shelf will sell out t a certain price, battery aside this is a bad deal. That cart wont hold up a month, you get what you pay for, and I can attest, motor aside, casual karts that are regularly used take more abuse than that flimsy piece of junk can handle

Got mine earlier in the week but didn't open until today. box was fine for me, everything fine inside. was very easy to put together. rode it after hours at the nearby mall parking lot, I have to say, I am very impressed. it is not incredibly fast, but both my 9 and 6 year old were intimidated by how fast it went, and it was enough to make my wife nervous. I got on it also, and I felt like i was able to go just as fast as my 6 yr old son on it. I haven't noticed any issues with the straps so far, the hoverboard feels pretty well attached to the frame, which feels very sturdy and well built. We also rode it all over my bumpy backyard, and although there was bit of slipping and it didn't go nearly as fast as on pavement, it still got around ok. All in all, this was a STEAL at $200, couldn't be happier.

The Jetson hoverboard might have some issues with the charger or the battery, which causes a charging problem. Other than that, there could also be a problem with other parts of the hoverboard.
