Samsung product page lists this as having eARC and Dolby Atmos.

https://www.samsung.com/us/televi...-za/#specs
There seems to be major issues with the unit... https://www.reddit.com/r/Soundbar...are_button
The Costco page states it's model HW-Q67CB which appears to include Dolby Atmos (as the 2022 model described here [samsung.com]). Coupling that with Costco's warranty it seems like a pretty decent deal.

Is this a regular price in every warehouse? Its a bit of a drive for me to go to Sam's (only one on Long Island), but I am in the market to get one of these for my dad.
It is probably regional. I was able to see the price by selecting pickup from a local club on the app.

Currently has the VIZIO M51a-H6 from Costco last year. Is it worth it to "upgrade" to this?

I've had many sound systems. People are always in search of "cheapest" atmos systems. Cheap atmos is synonymous with "virtual". The cheapest and best Cross between virtual atmos and actual hardware atmos with speaker upfiring is the Amazon echo studio for $149, ($200 but trade in any echo product for 25% off. ) Sure it must be paired with a fire tv stick but you probably got one of those laying around also. Also comes with a software update coming at end of the year for even better sound tuning. Buy now and you have till Jan 31st to return if you don't like it.

Thanks, can you control via the app ? SmartThings ?
Nope, only the HW-Q700B (or the warehouse variant HW-Q7CB) and up is compatible with SmartThings.

The HW-Q67CB is the warehouse variant of the HW-Q60B minus the rear speakers.

How is the VIZIO M51a-H6, I really wanted to buy it since the subwoofer is supposed to be equivalent to a $500+ Samsung soundbar but was afraid due the reviews saying it has a high failure rate?

Is fire TV the only source player that the echo studio can be used? I mostly watch with smart TV apps these days, so wonder if it's worth.

The rear speakers are connected with speaker wire (included) to a wireless module that connects wirelessly to the sub.

Just bought this last night. the specific model showing on the side of the box is HW-Q67CB/ZA.

I had a cheapo 5.1 vizio soundbar i bought from costco last year for 169.99 that stopped working after 8 months and costco let me return it, so i picked up this Samsung.

I have only had a chance to use it a few hours, so my experience is very limited, but i really do like how nice it sounds and how much better the dialog is compared to the vizio. I had no issues connecting everything via ARC on my 2019 Samsung tv.

I made sure to keep the box and all packaging incase this thing takes a dump on me, but so far so good. The sub is not that great and I haven't been able to test any "ATMOS" content yet, but if the unit is durable then i would say its 100% worth the 230.00

My only gripe w/ the VIZIO M51a-H6 is that it sometimes not recognize when I turn on my TV. Has to sometimes turn off TV then back on. There are a few times when I had to up-plug speakers' power to be recognize.

Source of this information? I'd guess it's just virtual atmos (height virtualization) irrespective of whether you use Q-Symphony or not.
https://www.samsung.com/us/televi...-q67cb-za/ , several reddit posts and reviews all over. Specs say it is 5.1 ch and supports Q-Symphony. I've found a review that say there were no up-firing speakers at all and spec should have specified 5.1.x channels if there were any. Some reviews don't even find the difference when they turn off TV speakers with Q-Symphony and I would understand since there would be a huge sound quality difference between TV speakers and the sound bar.

Yes, there are no upfiring speakers. That's why I guessed it's probably virtual Atmos, since height virtualization is done purely through processing of the audio signals, when your sound system does not have upfiring or ceiling speakers. You can read more about it here under "Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization": https://www.whathifi.com/advice/d...you-get-it .
What I meant to say is that you do not need a Samsung TV for it to work, and having a Samsung TV probably won't use the TV speakers as upfiring speakers since they are not designed for that purpose, and Atmos would still be virtual.

How do you know if you are getting a newer version of the Samsung 5.1 soundbar and not the recalled version?
