We already have the black one of this (and love it) and since we're going to redo our kitchen in navy blue, I'm considering getting this anyway at the price. Excellent piece of equipment!

This is a good entry level air fryer. I owned a bella air fryer for several years and had no problems. Finally donated it to a thrift store because I wanted a larger size which could roast a whole chicken

Only thing I do not like about these that go on sale of late is they do not have a removalable basket.

Ones with a basket seem to cook a little more even and you can fill them up more.

Negative is the basket does take up room so you either have to have a larger machine to get the same cooking size.

But this is a good price for a smaller-mid size one.

Ah, this makes sense though. Since you're allowing air to travel around the sides too, it probably circulates better. At least this has a removable bottom insert but I guess how much you put in and how you space the food will make a difference on even cooking (burning the top while not cooking middle and bottom enough).

Got the dual Bella to replace the recalled Insignia. Works great. No problems so far. Would definitely buy another Bella.

Not on this one. It has a tray that fits in the bottom.

A basket drops into the tray so it allows air to move around the side and bottom more easily. Also easier to clean IMO.

I got a several thumbs down when I mentioned this the last time. Without a basket if you just dump it out and there is grease on the bottom it will get all over your food. Not a good design IMO.

This one is too small, spend a lil more and go with the 8qt. I see Walmart has one for $60 now... search: "Gourmia" and it will pop up.

Yup, same boat with the previous best buy Bella air fryer. Recalled. Hope this one doesn't also cause fires.

Both the best buy photos and user photos show no basket only a tray with slots at the bottom. If you put something in you can scoop out I guess it's fine, but if it's a bunch of fries or something you need to dump out I guess the grease will be poured out onto the food. I still see no physical basket like in the previous recalled model.
