The 77" is the best version of this TV. The smaller screen sizes use a semi matte screen finish instead of a glossy finish like the 77". Sony swapped my A8H under warranty for the A80J 65". I like the colors and contrast better on glossy OLEDs. I can't wait to replace it in a few years for something else.

That's fair. The matte screen is supposed to help with reflections, but my wife will still close the curtain behind her when she's gaming or watching TV in the afternoon. The upscaling works really well. I secretly think Sony slapped the matte screen on the 55" and 65" to force people to jump to the 77" A80J or A90J line. The A80K and A90K OLEDs have a similar matte finish as well.

Have you watched content on a OLED before or is the A80J your first OLED? I know a lot of people claim they can't tell the difference. I'm not trying to argue, I'm just curious.

They'll have to investigate both your and my case. I still have the 55" LG G1 hiding under a bed from the Best Buy sale a month ago. They were clearing them out for the same $1K as this A80J. I couldn't pass up on that. I'm planning on replacing an old Panasonic Plasma in our bedroom after a renovation and hoping she doesn't notice the difference, at least till weeks after lol.

I have the 65" version of this TV, never thought I'd love a TV so much! It's my first OLED and I'm never going back. I'd have gotten the 77" if I had the space 😆

I picked this up at Costco a few months ago for our bedroom.. its our first OLED and looks absolutely incredible, can't wait to get a larger OLED for the living room.

Very happy with this A80J.

YMMV costco in store has them for 899.97. A80CJ is the model number so you can't price match with other stores but still the same tv

Not the same. Consumer Reports says the CJ has worse HDR performance than the J.
