The 8GB 3200 MHz RAM is soldered, but there is an empty SODIIMM slot for upgrade.
Update: I'm finding it difficult to open up the bottom to access the rumored extra DIMM slot. It seems harder than usual to open up, I'm concerned that it may not be upgradable. Can anyone confirm if this laptop does indeed have an extra memory slot that is accessible without damaging the device? I'm afraid to break it.

The RAM info is a little confusing but having an empty SO-DIMM slot at this price point is more than enough.
In the future, the i3-1215U should hit very low price points. I have always whined about i3-1115G4 dual-cores, no such whining is necessary for the 1215U which is the direct successor of that chip.

Tempted to return for this Lenovo due to the upgradeable ram. Should I? Mostly for work, but I do like to game.
