Chase offers select Chase Cardholders: Up to 50% Ultimate Rewards Redemption Bonus for select Apple Products when redeeming Chase Ultimate Rewards Points to pay. Valid through 11/30/2022.
Thanks to Community Member sbessire for sharing this deal.
Note: Your Redemption Bonus will vary from 10% to 50% depending on the type of Chase card you have. Your credit card will be charged the full remaining dollar amount over your points redemption; for example, if you choose to buy Apple merchandise at $120 at $1.50 redemption value (50% bonus), and you use 4,000 points ($40 worth of points w/ 50% bonus = $60), your credit card would be billed for the remaining $60.
Chase ultimate rewards points are worth 50% more on apple products with sapphire reserve and 25% more on apple products with sapphire preferred or ink business preferred.
I realize many would rather use them for travel, but we don't travel and pay yourself back has been lousy.

Unfortunately, it's kind of a fake value, as you can get most apple products at discounts nowadays. So your value is still less than the 1.5 or 1.25 than they make you believe it is.
some more example
for my upcoming trip to Japan in Jun
Transfer 10K to AVIOS for redeem of 2 domestic Japan ticket worth $200 USD
1 point to 2 cents
Transfer 47K to Virgin Atlantic (with chase 30% transfer bonus) for a FIRST CLASS ticket from HND-JFK worth $5000 USD
1 point to 10.6 cents
Setting aside you being aggressive for no reason.. I think any nay-sayers on this deal are focused on the opportunity cost. If you value your points at 1 cent per point, then I agree that AirPods for about 20k points is fantastic. But it's relatively easy to get $300 of value out of 20k Chase UR points by transferring to an airline. And sometimes even higher than that by transferring to hotel/airline for point redemption towards a high-end flight or hotel stay. So 20k Chase UR points, with either a Sapphire Preferred or Reserve card, are worth somewhere between $300 and $700. So the opportunity cost is you getting AirPods for 20k points.. vs a flight or hotel stay that would cost you 2-3x the cost of the AirPods.

Could someone tell me the points of a specific product with the Chase Sapphire Reserve?
2021 iPad 64gb model which is retailed at $329 can be bought for 21,933 essentially making about 33% discount on actual retail price of the iPad. Which I turn is almost like $210 for iPad 64 gb.
Perfect time to use some of my 40 millions points for a couple 14 ProMax 1TB phones... been using them for First and Business class flight and hotel but I accumulate faster than I spend lol

Dang 40 million points? How did you get that far? Using the card for business? I thought I was happy camper at 350k points. You are way ahead!
63920 points for apple watch ultra, not terrible, but I think those points go futher toward travel, which is why I got the card in the first place (plus the 100k point signup bonus)
So I dont get it. If it is 25% extra, it should be just 60,000 points not 63,920 points.
Cause if with 63,920 points, it is really just 20%.
I am so confused now.
Certainly for anything above economy it is where you can get WAY more than 1.5 cents a point- as well as Hyatt hotels where again 2+ cents a point is pretty common.
In a few specific cases it might be better for econ flights to use the portal though (southwest the most common example, but you'd need to run math both ways to check... taxes and airline miles earned differ depending which path you take- because portal bookings are (to the airline) cash bookings- is why esp. with southwest you have to run it both ways).
See above... other than some limited econ flights point transfers usually beat the portal, plus you're booking direct with the airline that way.

Is it always better to transfer the points instead of booking through Chase Travel Portal?
if we book within the chase portal it says:
5x points on travel booked through Chase
Use your Sapphire Preferred® card to purchase travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards® and earn 5x total points. Plan your next getaway today.
Well the points value worth 50% more which means 33.33% discount of the total cost with Chase Sapphire Reserve or 25% which means 16.67% discount of the total cost with Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase business preferred or 10% which means 6.66% discount of the total cost with all other Chase cards. Hope that helps.
Thanks for your reply but, I think there is still confusion. People should state 1) exactly what item they are looking at, 2) what card they have, 3) what the original price is and 4) what the price is now with discount. So in the example I mentioned, the Ipad Air, 64gb, wifi, is normally 59,900 Points but is now: 54,454 Points (with the chase freedom). So that is truly 10% off.

Effective 20% discount for CSP and CIP, not 16.67%

Another thing to consider is that this redemption is through a partner and not directly through Apple.
These items are shipped directly from Apple.
This twice-yearly promo is best used for products that don't have decent discounts everywhere else. Higher-end configs, some accessories, brand new products (which can take anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks to show up in the portal), etc.

So why it is adversing 25% but actually only 20% for CSP and CIP?
I did the math and found it was 20% but still did not understand.

You points worth 25% more. For example you have 100 points now they are worth 125 points. However, when you buy something require 125 points, you are essentially paying 100 points, effectively 20% off item.

Can someone with the Chase Sapphire reserve tell me how many points the same item is?
39,933 points with my chase SR card, making about 33% off on retail price for the iPad Air.

https://www.fool.com/the-ascent/c...-warranty/
If you'd prefer to hear it directly from chase, that's here:
https://www.chase.com/personal/cr...protection
So normally Apple will come with 1 year standard warranty. So Chase will offer 2 more years as AppleCare+?
sounds like you got the 25% offer
