Here's another fun fact: Maiwenn became a filmmaker herself, and "Her most acclaimed film to date is the 2011 drama Polisse, about a photographer (Maïwenn) assigned to shadow a Child Protection Unit that tracks down pedophiles and rescues sexually exploited children."
All of this grossness aside, the movie has a decent plot line (besides the unnecessary sexualization of a 12 year old) and some good acting performances. It was a good action movie in its day, but ho hum now and some of the scenes were so unrealistic and over-the-top that the action movie part of the movie was ruined in the end, too.
It might have a few uncomfortable scenes, even without the international cut. But it's ultimately no different than watching Kids, Requiem for a Dream, or Human Centipede.

It's not about "uncomfortable scenes," it's what you do with the material. The other movies you reference are apples and oranges.
