PSA on this and other Tracfones:

Disable "Mobile Services" app - it has nothing to with mobile services, instead it installs bloatware on its own.

Disable 1Weather app, Moto comes with its own weather widget.

Remove all permissions from My Account (can be removed) and Device Pulse (can't be disabled or removed), these track your usage.

Even when the phone is unlocked and you move to another service, these apps will continue to do their thing unless you disable or remove them.

You will have to continue until you get to the page where they ask you to select payment type. It is like the 3rd page after you hit the checkout button.


It is upgradeable to android 11. I don't think it will receive android 12 upgrade since Motorola typically only gives 1 android version update.

Great great deal, great phone but there is one caveat: it's Android 10 and probably won't be supported beyond that. My last android 10 phone (also Motorola) did not get the 11 upgrade (we're up to 12 now). Still, totally worth if if you only used it for the one year of coverage. Bought on for girlfriend's little brother.

As has been mentioned here several times already phone has had android 11 for quite a while, it will update out of the box (several times).

Answer is, yes. It's the only reason I buy Tracfones, to unlock them for use elsewhere if I want.

HSN customer service has no clue about TF. Once it's unlocked Moto phones work on any carrier - they have for several years.

It is in the Tracfone's official unlock policy. All their phones activated after Nov 23, 2021 are eligible to be unlocked 60 days after activation. I am not saying no one ever experienced any issues when they made the unlock request, but majority of the people got the unlocking done without running in any issue.

Must be unlocked to work on T-Mo. However, the these phones one can sim swap from TF to Simple Mobile (T-Mo network), Page Plus, Net10, and StraightTalk. After 60 days of service, you are good to run it on T-Mo or anyone you choose.
