PSA on this and other Tracfones:

Disable "Mobile Services" app - it has nothing to with mobile services, instead it installs bloatware on its own.

Disable 1Weather app, Moto comes with its own weather widget.

Remove all permissions from My Account (can be removed) and Device Pulse (can't be disabled or removed), these track your usage.

Even when the phone is unlocked and you move to another service, these apps will continue to do their thing unless you disable or remove them.

You will have to continue until you get to the page where they ask you to select payment type. It is like the 3rd page after you hit the checkout button.


It is upgradeable to android 11. I don't think it will receive android 12 upgrade since Motorola typically only gives 1 android version update.

If your phone (model #XT2115DL & comes with same wallpaper as picture) won't update there's something wrong with it - I received a refurbished one last week & it also updated right away, same as my first one.

Whether you care or not...

the one "everyone else" ordered came with Android 10, and automatically upgraded to 11, as has been mentioned several times previously.

Your phone, or the settings, are defective. Figure out the settings, reset phone to facotry, and/or warranty return it,.

Are you currently a rewards member? If yes, the best way to maximize rewards is to chat with customer service to add the device to your account as a second line. Once you see the 10,000 points pending, you can activate. On day 61, after the points vest, contact customer service to combine the service but be very clear which number you want to keep.

Get whatever account info you have from Mint and just call Tracfone, they take care of it. Might take a day to port from T-Mo to Verizon, over a weekend could be longer.
