If you spend $3000 or more, you should get the $500 costco gift card. However getting 2 macbooks pro for $3200 is a crazy deal. Maybe you should ask your family member to join you buying these macbooks, $1350 each is very slick.

FYI, new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors are rumored for this year; perhaps this month. This may well be the reason behind the price drop.

Honestly the current gen pro series are already very nicely built. $1350 if you can spell it with a buddy it's well worth it.

16GB RAM: the only Mac you should consider. Other recently posted "deals" here have only 8 GB.
Yet the 8GB with M1 and M2 runs laps around other computers even in video editing etc

With huge use of swap files that shorten the life span of the soldered storage: accelerated planned obsolescence courtesy of Tim Cook.

As long as you don't include 8 GB "Pros" in that. During Steve Jobs days, they would be simply entry-level "Macbooks." Because they are.

And that will probably be the only change between old and new if any of Apple's recent introductions are any example.
Marginal performance improvement, so probably not worth paying the Apple Tax for the new ones. Even Steve Jobs' daughter dissed Tim Cook's latest phone.

Yeah. Too rich for my blood.

I suggest NOT opening the boxes until the $500 card is in hand.

ALSO Keep in mind folks that this is not specific to Macbook. It looks like it can be anything Costco sells online.

Does MacBook 16" https://www.costco.com/.product.1507063.html qualify for this $500 promo?

I bought a couple MBP14's a little over a month ago to sell to a client but that never happened so I took them to Costco last week to return. The woman at the returns desk didn't even look at the MacBooks. She looked in the shipping box and saw two boxes and gave me an immediate refund to my CC.

Oddly, I hadn't opened the Costco shipping box since receiving them and when I opened the Costco box, one of the MacBooks was in the brown box like they normally ship, and the other was just the MacBook box sitting there, NOT SHRINK WRAPPED. The Costco woman didn't care.

My point is you can probably use them before the 90 return period is up and return for full refund.
