Mostly offset by the $300 Travel credit that is the easiest to use of any card on the market.
If that doesn't sound like you, then this isn't the card for you.

I remember I did $120k a few years back.
Highest public offer was 100,000 points. And I don't see that coming back.

A lot of people commenting about the PriorityPass as a huge perk. Please keep in mind that the PriorityPass is all but DEAD these days after they lost almost all airport lounges and restaurants in the USA sometime back in 2021.
But if you travel internationally a lot, you might still find a few lounges somewhere in Zimbabwe or Timbuktu
Not sure what you are talking about, but Priority Pass is not DEAD. Quite the opposite actually. Perhaps you are mistaking it for something else? But you are not anywhere close on Priority Pass.
Had the Reserve for 4 years, fantastic card, but with the new $550 AF it's just not worth it anymore. Got the preferred and couldn't be happier.
I used the chase ur points to pay the high AF fee. Priority pass is currently a disappointment for lounges (good for some airports that have restaurants).
I have had both (currently have AMEX Platinum, closed CSR earlier this year) and I much prefer CSR. The transfer partners are much better and that is what I primarily use my points for.
The AF on the Platimum is way too high and they a lot of their benefits are superfluous and not worth the extra cost of the AF ($100 credit at Saks, $200 airline FEE credit where you have to choose an airline at the start and it only applies to incidental fees (unless you game it on United which could go away at any moment), Walmart+ credit, $200 hotel credit for hotels I would never stay at, Uber cash, Soulcycle credit). A bunch of benefits that I would otherwise not use.
CSR HAD some of that, but the fee is a lot less, and again, better transfer partners which is the big thing.
I have had the Amex Platinum for most of this year, and while I definitely had to swallow a bitter pill for the AF, the perks have been pretty great. The Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle is $240/yr, Walmart+ is $156/yr, and between Uber rides and Uber Eats (sure, I bought something the last day of a couple months to use it :-)) is $150, and I also got the $100 for Global Entry and $139 for Clear. Between all of these, the first year's fee is already more than covered. I can easily see $500+ per year in usable perks - at least for my uses (and hey, I'm sure I could get a couple $50 shirts per year at Saks!). I've only used the lounge access twice, but it's been great! If you subscribe to one of the supported digital streaming services and Walmart+ anyway, I think it gets much closer to a no-brainer for the Amex Platinum.
If you dont travel a lot but tend to use your CC for everything (and pay off your balance monthly) , i recommend you go with the Reserve for a nice in between. This card is really anchored towards ppl that travel (or plan to) a lot. I personally did the Reserve, asked then to waive the first years fee and downgraded after the year of use
Debating doing this and combining with the 50% off apple products to upgrade iPhones....feels like it might be the best (non-trade in / new line) deal.

^^ This is the correct way to use it. If you're a family of 4+, this thing is phenomenal for travel. Throw in massages and stuff and it makes my travels as pleasant as can be.
If Priority Pass is a main sell, then nothing beats the Venture X. You can have AUs for free and they can each get Priority Pass as well. Not to mention, two free guests per person. All for a card that pays you $5 each year to keep it open.
Maybe a dumb question but does Chase calculate 48 months from when you last received the bonus, or when you closed your card? I've always erred on the latter side to be safe.

What about the TSA credit, is it one per account or she gets the credit too?
Thank you in advance. I have been trying to figure this out; even Chase customer support has not been helpful.
In case this hasn't been answered...
She gets her own priority pass membership, but does not get GE/TSA Pre credit...
I have added an authorized user on my card, and that's what the rep told me..
Amex all the way
