So, I added my wife as additional card member for amex and capital one, and she holds a discover by herself. Has about 720 credit score. Does the additional cards are considered under the 5/24 rule or just the Discover?
Only cards where you are primary are considered against 5/24 rule
As long as you don't have an open "Sapphire" card. I switched to Freedom 10/13, statement closed 10/23, applied 10/27 and was instantly approved. For getting the card, you'll need to follow the 5/24. I thought I remember reading 48 months since last Sapphire reward redemption.
What about the points u had on old sapphire? Can you also transfer them back to new card from freedom again?
I've never done it myself. But as the other poster suggested, I did a Google search and found a flyertalk thread, and I saw the term "TravelBank" being used in a lot of data points. So I logged into my United account and found a link to TravelBank, which makes me think I'm on the right track. I'm thinking of trying it out, I already changed my selected airline to United.
I don't know if it's inappropriate to post all this info here, but oh well.

Same boat except got approved 2 weeks ago. Called customer service and they said anyone who got the CSR after 9/15/22 was eligible for the bump. Rep notated it in my account. I don't see any changes in my portal yet though.
Thanks for this info. I got my CSR on 10/5. Called just now based on your guidance. No wait and got a polite rep who confirmed my eligibility and also made a notation in my account. Said the changes (i.e., incremental 20k points) could take 2-3 billing cycles to show up. Whole thing took 3 mins.

Check on flyer talk. It's laid out in a thread and ppl regularly post advising if it's still working
