You can buy Xbox gift cards, which are not excluded and triggered the offer. The Xbox gift card can be used to purchase physical items at the Microsoft store with no expiration date (that's what I found out from the thread).

The Dell gift cards are excluded.

MS has good laptop deals from time to time, pair it with CB and this a it maybe a worth while! Not sure there is any new surface devices coming before end of the year. Still holding out for Surface Go 3 or Laptop Go with 16gb ram lol.
