With many blade steels it's also important who produced it and how it's been treated — Benchmade consistently excels there too. The CPM-20CV in this offers great edge retention and corrosion resistance for the money, while being a bit less tough and harder to sharpen than, e.g., S35VN. As for the handles/scales, I'm not 100% sure what exactly these are, but when you buy Benchmade you can trust it's going to be more than half decent. You can upgrade them later if you want anyway.

Taxes and fees are a classic example.
As for civil rights boycotts, yes, I'm talking about businesses refusing to do business with people based on racism. They were boycotted by private actions. Both refusing service as well as boycotts were private actions not involving government. From a principled anti-statist/anti-authoritarian position, anti-discrimination LAW is statism and thus authoritarian, and private boycotts and private refusal of service are what liberty/freedom should look like.
Anti-discrimination LAW is authoritarianism by that outlook.
Also, there's no shame in having 20CV steel professionally sharpened, it is doable but you're probably not going to do as good a job.
If you want something they may not necessarily be comparable but still quite good, that's a different discussion.

Don't tell me you actually understand metallurgy and opportunity costs. The only reason you wouldn't do X maintenance/handy job is because you're unable to. Don't tell me car guys still take cars to a mechanic because they don't have the time/inclination to give up a weekend of bowling, watching a child's soccer game, leading a scout campout, time with the family to work on a car??

Nailed it, though honestly I *don't* understand metallurgy.

I just upgraded from a Kershaw cryo to a Benchmade bugout recently. Both knives are certainly capable, but the lightness of the bugout attracted me. Carrying my Kershaw everyday was very noticeable, but the bugout feels nonexistent clipped to my pocket.
The best part of this is there are so many knives out there, there's bound to be one that floats your boat. Knives can be a tool, a hobby, or both; I hope you find one you enjoy.
For your exact circumstances be more specific to get a yes/no.
