Civivi/WE/Sencut knives are fantastic fit and finish rivaling any US brand selling for double or even triple their price. I own all ranges of fixed and folder and Civivi have a permanent spot in my carry rotation.

An entry level pocket knife. It is well known for its smooth opening and with the upgraded s35vn steel, this is a good deal to me

I have a regular blade version of this knife and it is well-made and basically a perfect EDC.

I would caution you to evaluate whether you really want a tanto style blade on your knife. It's a deal breaker for me, personally.

As you said, your was D2 version, so this was not $38! And no way S35VN version could be $38.

Civivi has better quality control than Spyderco, that's for sure.
