I was looking into the bigger options during Early Access Prime Day last week or so and I was surprised at the lack of customer service people experienced with Westinghouse based on the negative comments I read. Sure there are a ton of positive reviews but those usually get submitted after one usage which I get bc your at the heat of the moment but the negative reviews truly showed me how bad the brand stood behind their product.

I was pretty upset discovering this bc I almost pulled the trigger on their 12k watt model. Anyone experienced a more positive experience with them?

Probably noise, it's not an inverter which are much quieter.

Not slick simply because it is under $300. Not an emergency back-up generator. If buying a noisey gas guzzling conventional for emergencies then the best at the lowest price in my experience is the wgen5300dfv dual fuel. Smallest with 220V. Can connect to the house panel to operate an electric water heater or cooking or small hvac or well pump. Transfer switch ready.

A 120V inverter hand carry type is quieter, more fuel efficient, portable, can be stored indoors and has a cleaner ac output.

the one for $250 is a killer deal. Its kinda hard to find a generator (omitting the 2 stroke ones) for any less shipped to the house.

Unfortunately, no twist lock connector to hook it up to a whole house transfer switch (usually found in higher wattage models) which is 30A there at 240V. Plus, as Kuma1 pointed out, the THD can be considered high at 23% which can disrupt sensitive electronics (or cause flickers in things like LED lights).
