For those of you arguing about supply, go to https://pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/ . Type 3090 or whatever card you are looking for, and it will show you what is in stock, where. For instance, NewEgg has a 3090 for sale for $950. https://www.newegg.com/zotac-gefo...MFBJAA8853 . I bought a MSI 3090 from Amazon for $950 and am holding onto it to see if I can grab a 4090 or 3090ti for a good price because I have a return window until the end of January
Whats your point? He said he got one for 550, you said he didn't....but he did. He never said it could be replicated, as a matter of fact he stated that he was lucky.
we have no idea. if he's like most the dirtballs on here he found the cheapest listing under sold auctions, no idea if it was even legit then claimed it was his

Not sure why i need to prove anything to you but I'm not going to post my invoice. I'll post the little chat i had with the seller who helped secured me the card. https://imgur.com/a/A5wucDs
Card works perfectly and has 2 years left in warranty, reason why i got the ASUS, warranty is transferable. Gigabyte, FE not.
Remember when people said $1600...$1300...$1100...$900 3090s were a good deal? Remember when people were mouth watering at $1k 6900 XTs as well. Remember when people said the 4090 wouldn't be a massive performance gain? Well it never was, they hilariously did, and it definitely is, respectively.
It already is a fire sale. They're selling silicon far below production costs and prices are still, albeit slowly, falling. I war drummed hold the line 6 months ago and was right every time I did so. The calculus is a bit different now as the performance per dollar is approaching parity, combined with notable inflation, and prices are about where they should be...although depending on RDNA3 performance and cost, it could slide yet again as a free market doesn't care about costs or fairness, supply and demand run the game (barring government intervention). We already saw Nvidia back off the $900 3070 (uh, umm, I mean 3080 12GB lol).
Patience is key people. This is a mediocre price for a 3090 that's half the performance of a card less than twice it's price. There is a reason it's on woot. There is a reason it's still in stock. It's like a business screaming get em' before they're gone when they have a pile of (enter item) sitting in plain sight
So if you were building a new pc, you would wait until you have a 4090 at MSRP? Is there another strategy? Would you avoid a 3090ti?
Gamestop had a pny 3090ti for like 769. I think it was a pricing error. It was sold out when I seen it. They did have alot of cards that were low tho.. so maybe they just wanted to get rid of them.
