I used these on a long flight swapping with my air pods pro gen 1. These work well, ANC is not as good as the air pods pro, but well enough to dampen the background noise decently well. Battery life on these are fantastic. I used them for 2 hours at the gate, and 3 hours on plane before I swapped to the air pods pro gen 1. Air pods pro immediately lowered noise more, and did pretty well for the rest of the flight.

The Bluetooth multi-point is awesome on these buds as I switch between my Pixel phone and my iPhone all the time for listening and making phone calls.

The transparency mode works pretty well on these also. I don't like the capacitive touch controls as I accidentally trigger them when just trying to adjust the buds in my ears.

My bro had a phone (think it was an LG?) that didn't play well with the A-series we couldn't figure out how to increase the max volume. When the same buds were paired to my Pixel, volume was just fine. It may be the combination of the buds and your device.

You should get your hearing checked. You might have something going on.

I don't have these, but I've used the original buds and I own the 2nd gen buds and the wired buds and have no problem with volume. I'm always listening somewhere in the middle of the range or lower with no problems hearing the music or spoken word. To each his own.

These are some of the quietest earbuds known to man. At max volume you can just hear them decently and they distort at that volume. Google is known for low volume audio and this is no exception

Is it just me... Or does anyone else struggle to pull the buds out from the case?

Wireless earbuds are regressing when it comes to touch controls. My first pair had 2x the options and was customizable. Now we get limited options and often can't customize them.

Are these worth it if I already have a pair of the 'A' series?

I suspect they will, but even if they don't get lower then they will likely be at least be this price again. If you aren't in a rush then waiting is probably the smarter play. The worst case scenario is probably that you just pay this a month from now instead of now, but there's a chance you could save some more.

I'm going to give it a month, personally.

Does anyone have the Samsung buds pro and these ? Would these be considered a sidegrade or an upgrade?

I use a pixel 6a, s22 ultra, s8 ultra tablet so the Samsung buds work well with the Samsung devices but these have multipoint support.
