I bought this last time it was on sale for a thousand bucks. No regrets. Great purchase. Just make sure that your TV is mounted high enough on the wall so that you can see all of it in full recline...
Which one did you buy? 2D?

I am buying this with a costco citi card that gives 2 year warranty after the manufacturer warranty of 1 year expires.. I intend to use the credit card warranty if the chair has issues within 3 years. After that, it is sunk money I guess
So that card covers purchases outside of Costco as well?

Anyone short or with kids that have used this? I want to get it for my elderly mom who is 4'9". She needed help getting out of a standard sized massage chair.
Getting in and out of the compact chair should be no problem. The controls also allow you to set stops in the rollers manually, though I have not tried this out myself.

My grandson loved the chair. He's 8yo.

Seems like a great price on a 4d. But it says max height is only 5' 9" where the 3d at best buy says it is good for up to 6' 2". I wonder how different they really are.

Are the compact decently comfortable to sit in while not using the massage function?

if you actually read the reviews they talk about completely different model numbers so obviously real reviews for different chairs ripped off from other sites. this is why none of the reviews are verified purchases and dates are all around the same period. 400+ reviews for a third party seller on walmart is a red flag as well. for a massage chair no less lol.

Do any retail stores carry models you can try out? I thought of going to a brookstone but apparently they closed down

You have the answer in your question. Bonded leather should be banned.
every faux leather chair i have ever had has looked like garbage within 2 years. The only different on this is that people wouldn't be sitting in it constantly so perhaps it would last longer.

Curious for those who have the 3D version, which has a width of 32.7 inches, my doorway into my office from the inner parts of the frame is a little less than 30 inches, anyone own the 3D one and have had success being able to get it into a doorway of this size somehow? (like angling it potentially?)

Hard to see how the massage feature wouldn't tear it up just as fast..
