This is a pretty lame release, upscaled to 4K with no HDR10, no 10+, and no Dolby Vision enhancements. There's also no Dolby Atmos or any real audio remastering for this release.

TLDR: This is a low-effort release, and You might as well buy a Blu-ray version or stream it (sorry!).

Anyone seen peninsula? I loved Train to Busan but heard Peninsula wasn't very good.
Not as good as the first one, but it's still not bad.

Did you watch the series of the Mist as well? It's set in a shopping mall. Pretty good series. Was supposed to get a season 2, but it was cancelled.

Thanks for that. Love this movie and it's highly underrated! Sad they didn't give it a good 4K release Frown

One of the best new age zombie films that has come out in the past 10 years so that's very surprising to hear.
Well, I'm not a big zombie film guy so that might be why. It all felt a little too predictable

Ditto. I really like "fast zombie" movies more than the traditional George Romero-style ones (which were allegorical, anyway). 28 Days Later, Train to Busan, and a nod to WWZ.

Anyone know if the dub has been redone? The one I saw I had to shut off because it was done by a bunch of boorish 6th graders with google translate.

Watced 5 times. Every time a family member or friend said that they have never heard of it, I tell them that I have a treat for them if they have time to watch a movie. Everyone so far has enjoyed it. It's great to watch them reacting to some of the intense scenes.

The Mist movie apparently has a different ending than the book. I agree , extremely depressing.

Was it enjoyable despite there being no zombies? Or was it enjoyable because there were no zombies?

Going to commit to checking this out for Halloween viewing. I'm a fan of the zombie genre and this one keeps falling off my radar. Is it still on Netflix or streaming channels? Didn't even realize it starred the actor from Squid Games and The Silent Sea.

That's weird, this page says it does have Dolby Vision and HDR10...
