I have this and it's trash. It's in the shop won't turn on owned it for 45 days. This device runs sooo hot and the laptop feels so cheap. IMHO this, is not a deal. Spend the money and buy legion. Biggest mistake
1. No display through usb c
2. Runs so hot it will burn you
3. Throttling from the device getting so hot
4. Died in 45 days for me
5. Acer software management is not good feels like Windows 95
Should also look at the wattage when it comes to laptop GPUs.
Not sure when this trend started (also not sure if this is a case with desktop GPUs) but it's annoying how not all GPUs these days are the same, even if the name makes you think they are. Like there's various watts of 3060s but there's nothing that distinguishes in the product name like there is say for a 3060 vs 3070 or a 3060 vs a 3060ti; you can distinguish which one is more powerful. But now, you don't know HOW powerful your GPU is because you could have a 70 watt 3060 or a 115 watt 3060.

Your choice, but please make an educated decision. The Lenovo Gaming 3 with 5600H and 3050ti will likely perform better for less money while running much cooler and comes with a better screen.
How does a 3050ti perform better than a 3060? You should read the benchmarks...
This or wait for black friday. It is sooo cheap, but I'm not a fan of the 8gb ram which basically forces you to have to upgrade it
Well... You can find 2x16GB with very low timings for 80 bucks or less. At 600 bucks it's a worthy investment. Wonder if this laptop has XMP 2.0 compatibility though. I've purchased a bunch of different 32GB models at varying prices and timings just to make sure something works.
I'm on my 3rd Nitro 5. First one arrived yesterday with two dead pixels... Ordered another one for $730 yesterday already. It arrives tomorrow...
The third one I just ordered for 600 bucks a few minutes ago. Why didn't I call to get the difference? I mean, Walmart is terrible at adjusting prices down after the fact. I speak from experience. They claim prices change all the time and refuse to price match their own prices even within the return period. It's just gross customer service. I won't even waste my time.
I'm starting to wonder what kind of pricing we'll see during BF deals... Might have to return the Nitro 5 after all if something better pops up until Jan 31st.

It's not just the 3050 Ti vs 3060. You've got to factor in the wattage in each of these GPUs and particularly the RAM selection, if it's a single slot or two in dual channel, timings, etc. If I need to get a 2x16GB memory kit to replace the single crappy 8GB this laptop comes with, I might as well get a 2x16GB with tighter timings. Which is exactly what I did.
The 2GB VRAM difference and a buttload less CUDA cores from the 3050 Ti is another consideration You'll definitely have to turn settings down (shadows textures fidelity etc) on the 3050 Ti in order to maintain steady frame rates compared to the 3060. IMHO the 3060 is the way to go.
I bought this last month for the $729 deal from Walmart (+8% cash back from SlickDeals). I have only used it once but I thought it looked great! People are saying bad screen (which I don't notice), but for this price, you can get a gaming monitor and still walk away with a good deal. The only other downside is that the fans are SUPER loud.
I bought this again for $599 and will return the $729 one (30-day return window expires in 2 days for me)

It's a max 95w 3060. IIRC my Dell with a 3050 is almost the same.
Got the 11400h + 3050ti in August. The thing is a beast. Fan is way too loud, no video out USB-C, feels hot but whatever. My daughter has been using it daily just fine.
Can't believe I am going to get the 3060 version for only $100 more albeit with 8 gb memory. I think I'm gonna swap her 16 for mine. Hey, I paid for it! She only plays roblox anyway.

In battery setting set CPU power from 100 to 99 it will fix it.

I'm using the computer right now to type this. I've played Spider Man and Forza Horizon 5 for several hours last night without any problems or thermal throttling. This is a gaming laptop, so it's going to be loud and somewhat hot during a gaming session. You'll have to lift it up with a stand to allow proper airflow. I 3D printed a nice stand with that in mind.
I just need to get some 2x16GB RAM to unleash its full potential. It's a shame this didn't come with dual channel / dual sticks.
