The other Ridgid battery deal is much better. 4AH and 6AH Max Output batteries with charger and bag for $82.

This pair of regular 4AH batteries has been $45-50 in the past, that's what I use as a benchmark for Ridgid battery pricing.

Just picked up the batteries with the reciprocating saw. $107 with tax after $75 in gift cards I had! Amazing deal. The saw is a beast!

This is not a bad deal, 4 ah batteries offer the best power to weight balance, but like you point out, Home Depot has been giving away so many free batteries that most people are over stocked on them. I also have some Milwaukee M12 tools. I bought the die grinder on sale for $50 off, and they threw in two free batteries with that one. Now I have new batteries in unopened packages just sitting on the bench.

These are the standard 4ah batteries compared to the newer Max Output batteries offered in the other deal. Look for the silver label versus the black Max Output label. Ridgid is packaging a lot of the starter kit deals with the older batteries. Someone more educated than me can explain the battery tech differences but the 4ah/6ah deal includes newer batteries for less money.
