Thanks OP, just bought one. Earlier in the week, it was $99 after $100 off coupon from $199 list price.

Wondering if this model will be discontinued or a newer version coming out?

I just bought first, think later.

The camera is weatherproof. You'll need to have a weatherproof junction box to install it to though, that has 120VAC wire run to it.

If you have an existing properly installed outdoor rated floodlight fixture and box already on your house, this eufy floodlight cam should be a direct replacement. If you don't have an existing fixture in place, a weather proof junction box and 120VAC wire will need to be installed by a qualified electrician.

I own numerous different Eufy cameras and flood cams. The flood cameras, especially this one, will provide you with endless false alarms. Every shadow, Leaf and even car headlights will set it off. Doesn't matter how I tweak the settings. These are a waste of money unless that suits your needs.

"powerful built in AI" now that's hilarious

I agree I have the first gen and this one. Too many false alarms and I have tried pretty much every setting from the eufy forums.

Another thing is that the storage is on the device itself. So if it's gone it's gone.

Exactly. I have the first gen 1080p also and expected so much more out of this 2k model. Just as bad if not worse with false alarms.

I will be taking this down and sending it back. It's more hassle than it's worth. I do like Eufy cams but their AI needs so much work.

Thanks for the community feedback. I ended cancelling my order, don't want to be bombarded with constant false notifications.

I've had mine for the past three months and its been great! No false notifications. The only downside that I've noticed is that its like 2-3 seconds slower at sending notifications than my Ring.

I have this and a few other eufy cameras. It's great and I only get a few false alerts on super windy days with a lot of leaves flying around. I have my set to the highest sensitivity and human only detection.

I was gonna say, I've never read anything good about his camera on SD… But are the false alerts for Humans and Pets, or just motion in general? I have a couple of the 2K indoor cameras mounted as high as 13' up outside and they do just fine with few to no false alerts for pets and humans.

If this is the first gen then probably no. I have one and can't activate RTSP. It can, however, work in TinyCam - probably through an API.
