Me and my friends in san diego loved eating this growing up. Filipinos love tamarind too. Gonna order some for the nostalgia 😊

I get Pelones even cheaper by driving into Tijuana, but not everyone has that option. Great find OP. These are awesome, just to confirm to folks who haven't tried them before. Live a little!

Ingredients :
SUGAR; WATER; CORN SYRUP; CHILI POWDER; CONTAINS 2% OR LESS OF: CITRIC ACID; SALT; XANTHAN GUM; NATURAL FLAVOR AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR

There is no tamarind in this product, it's just flavored. And they forgot to list all that microplastic that is sure to leak into the product. Hard pass!
How do micro plastics leak into products? Can you share any reports of this occurring. Not familiar with and would like to learn more. Thanks.

Very addicting. It's a light sour and sweet taste. For me, the experience was kinda like drinking redbull for the first time and the taste was weird/unexplained but once you get hooked after a few bottles, it's done. You are officially an addict. Try it, you might like it.

Shouldn't that warning be in every single thing out there? Same with arsenic, etc

as a white kid in houston i grew up watching my mexican friends eat these but i absolutely hated them. as an adult i grew to love tamarind candy though. i like the ones that are just straws caked with mushy tamarind paste on them.

I could never get into these as a kid. I like fresh tamarind, though.

Just for reference, I just checked my Sams Club receipt and it was $8.48. Of course not all locations will carry it, so this Amazon deal is pretty good.
