Got this as a gift and the electronics on these Vtech toys are very poor. After a couple of weeks of play, when trying to switch the sound to the on position, you hear a non stop stutter. Do not recommend.

I can't speak from experience on this particular toy so please don't consider this a counterpoint, but have you tried new batteries? We have multiple kids and a lot of musical/talking toys and with a number of them we have found that stuttering is often a symptom of low batteries. Maybe worth a shot if you haven't already swapped them. Thanks for sharing your experience either way.
