Saying "Sizer bin tested to fit perfectly in overhead bins of most major domestic airlines while allowing for more packing capacity" is a bit misleading. Fitting does not mean complying with carry-on size restrictions published by airlines

Also, I think the airlines would have more of a problem if the width or depth were too wide because then it physically won't fit. I haven't come across an overhead bin where the length was an issue, at least for just putting the bag into it. In this case, the width is 0.5" beyond the limit, which is negligible.
In my limited experience, they usually just check it for free if it is a problem or if there is a lack of overhead bin space due to a full flight. 1" is pretty minimal for it to become a huge issue.

The non-spinners (typically half submersed) are sturdy against such use. Never had any of them break. BUT, the wheels themselves are prone to getting flat spots or getting cracked or chipped when taken off-road so to speak.Then you get that really noisy repetitive sound which is annoying. I have started keeping a stash of roller skating wheels that will fit to replace when that happens or even pre-emptively sometimes if the wheels are getting worn out. The worst usage for them is a gravely surface.
The spinners are far more prone to damage from rough usage IF they get caught in the wrong position or land at a wrong angle. I would avoid them for the type of torture you want to subject them to.

In my experience size is not routinely checked nowadays, unless
1. the piece really looks oversize
2. you are flying a puddle jumper
3. the airline is a "low cost" one (determined to milk you as much as possible)
However, weight of carry-on is almost invariably checked by European airlines, with some of them checking the total of your carry-on and underseater.
i did the 100 day trial. sent it back via fedex for a refund. fedex dropped the ball (tracking number shows it stopped at a city and was never delivered), but travel pro didn't do anything about it. they kept my money.
it took MONTHS of emailing back and forth. they even at one point said "congrats, we found your unit, we will refund you soon". months later, they never sent it. i tried emailing them again, and they said "we never got your unit, so please wait until we get it".
i had to do a chargeback and finally got my money.
i wrote an honest review of the product on their website, but unsurprisingly they never published it.
