Intel is a dramatically larger company than both AMD and Nvidia. They have more employees, money, and their own fabs -the general public should not and does not have to be their beta testers. They have the funding and the manpower to develop functional drivers for anything they want BEFORE it releases -them not doing so is outsourcing the cost to the consumer (beta testing and bug reporting).

No one should buy these for those reasons. The 6600 and 6600xt are more stable and more powerful for less money than their Intel counterparts -there's no real reason to consider these cards in my opinion.

Also I must stress this GPU is with beta driver and performs not the same as other GPU from nvidia and amd. It's performance on DX11 and anything before it is not as competitive as the other guys. Also if your motherboard and cpu don't support ResizeBar do not get it. Intel's own marketing video stress you will need ResizeBar.

Even with all that manpower though, it's not always about size. Can every possible situation really come up just in their own internal testing which I'm sure they've already done quite a bit of? It's more of a situation of how quickly they respond to bug reports and thus far, they seem pretty committed to it.

Why buy this instead of the stable, well supported, well regarded GTX3060 ? Nvidia is discounting their 3xxx card like crazy st this moment. Intel might not support their ARC card that well if they don't sell well and future driver support is a big factor in selecting GPU.

Going by raw transistor count, it has over around 4 billion(21.4 billion) more than the Radeon 6700 xt or 3070. There is some potential, but realizing that might take years more of time and effort. It's priced almost $100 less because of the beta status, along with a nice bundle of games. Definitely a good deal if the games that you play already optimized, otherwise you don't know when the poor performance would improve one day. Anyone buying should be aware of what they are getting into.

People and their short term thinking. Vote with your dollars for a company that is USA foundries, has gone based talent, and is just entering the segment. If you support Team blues effort then it will be successful, if you compare it to TSMC/Korean produced team green/red then don't complaint when it turns into an atom rather than a centrino.
