This is a terrible deal! Don't people realize paying by credit card means they charge the landlord 3-4% merchant/management fee and the difference just gets passed on to you to cover the landlords costs of using the service. You would be better of asking the landlord to give you the 3-4% of the monthly rent paying him directly and you would be saving way more than this garbage! No offense to the OP just not down with this
This is NOT true. ^^ This user hasn't read any of this thread and is making guesses that it's the same as other credit cards.
Bilt will mail the landlord a check, OR you can add an account number and routing number to your landlords bill pay platform. Neither YOU or your landlord pay the fee.
The 'fee' is being absorbed by BILT/VC's/WellsFargo in the hope they will trick you into carrying a balance on the credit card and you'll eventually 'pay more in interest'.
Pay your rent and then pay off your credit card as soon as the charge hits and you end up with 0% interest rate and points.
can i ask you please - how much points do you get for example $1000 rent ?
how much are those points worth , in terms of dollar value?
It's a 1.25 multiplier, so $1000 = 1000 points, and then is worth roughly $12.50'ish. They do other deals that can extend the spend further, but that's roughly it.

Quick question please - I am currently paying through zelle to my landlord..so I just need to get an account number and routing number of my landlord and I can pay to it , correct?

What you'd do for this is fill in your landlord's address on the Bilt app, then a paper check is automatically sent every month to your landlord.

I looked into this a bit but I don't travel much so for my situation, the rewards came down to $0.007 on Amazon per $1 of rent. About $110 a year, not worth the pull for me.
Bilt can either cut a check to your landlord or they will give you a bank account and routing number you can use through a rental portal. Pretty straightforward.
I like that there is finally a product you can gain some benefit on rent payments with. For people who travel, it's a nice variety of programs you can transfer the points to. TPG values Bilt points at 1.8 cents per.

i have my wells fargo paid in full on auto pay so there's never any interest.
just like when paying rent the old fashion way (auto check), you should never have to do anything, it should all be done automatically. the only little annoyance for this is having to make 5 transactions.

This is not correct. They accept all renters. Look on their website.
Not true at all.
You get a routing number and an account number and can either mail a check to your rental company, or provide the rounting/account number like a check to your online bill pay system.
I got a bilt card in April, so feel free to ask me any questions, def worth it for all the free points, and I got a bunch of referrals, so got a bonus 50k points too.
I just won't carry a balance on it.
If this card can be used to pay rent through routing number and account number it is worth considering. I earn rewards points using my credit card but if I pay rent with it they charge me a credit card processing fee which would cancel out any reward points, which would make this a good option (Unless it's processed as a cash advance instead of a purchase).

Yep! It can. And is processed as a normal CC transaction, NOT a cash advance. No processing fee, it's all absorbed by bilt, It's pretty awesome for those of us that do have $$$$ rent payments each month.

Even if you rent outside of the Bilt Rewards Alliance, you can still use Bilt to earn points on rent with the Bilt Mastercard®. Earn 1x on Rent (up to 50,000 points annually), 2x on travel, 3x on dining, and 1x on all other spend with the card. As long as your landlord uses an online payment portal or accepts checks, you can use Bilt with no transaction fees!

This is the first time I may regret not using escrow. Probably not possible to pay property taxes with it, eh.
