Please be careful about when it says Rent Payments. Only specific rental companies are covered in it.Triple Check with your rental company if they accept it.
Lol just use the card as you would other cards 5 times. Why do you have to go out of your way to get the cheapest possible purchases on this card?
as i said, it's "easy to do but more of a distraction that anything" so certainly not going out of my way. this is what happens when you add a card to apple pay.
There was a post on here about 2 weeks ago alerting everyone to look for fraudulent purchases on their BILT Card from "Marion Parke" and "dhgate.com."
Woke up this morning to a slew of charges on my BILT Card from Wayfair.com and Cashstar @ Starbucks.
Luckily I have notifications enabled so I caught these immediately. Called in, reported the charges, WF closed the account and reissued my card. I will have a new one in about 7 days.
No idea how my card was compromised. It is sock drawered, and has 5 recurring charges per month on it from the following merchants:
Microsoft x2, Experian, Napster, + Apartment's rent portal.
I just wanted to send out a PSA to the BILT Card holders on this subreddit to check their cards.
What's the redemption point / $$$ (gift card/ statement credit, etc) conversion?
Essentially 1% cash back. So I assume 1 point is 1cent
First time using it this month so not sure yet if it has any other catch. I saw someone mentioned you need to use the card for 5 other purchases. But I don't see that in their site. I might have to see their T&C in more details

I haven't had any issues. I couldnt find anywhere on their site where only certain units are supported. Like BlueKiwi said: You can use the Bilt Mastercard and earn rewards on rent at any property where you can pay by (i) online payment portal (e.g. ClickPay®, etc.), (ii) Venmo or Paypal or (iii) physical check.

Cash redemption at Bilt is around 0.7cent but someone said u can transfer to other travel sites for better value.
Why can't I just use my Bilt Mastercard® in my property's online payment portal?
If you use your Bilt Mastercard® to pay rent through your landlord's rent payment app or website, you may be charged a service or "convenience" fee by the payment platform.
How will pay through rental property website to avoid service fee?

I've had this card for a few months. Here is how I use it
Pay my rent with card, then typically will just by 4 x 0.50 Amazon gift cards to total 5 monthly transactions (yes the rent payment counts as one).
They give you a routing and account number to pay rent to avoid any rent payment fees you might incur if using a credit card (my apartment complex charges $45 to use a credit card to pay rent, but with the routing/checking, it appears as a bank charge, and no fee)
I did have one hiccup by turning on Bilt Protect Debit one month, turned that off.
On the first they do quizzes and puzzles for chances to win bonus points and pay your rent for the month.
You cannot use this card to pay a mortgage (yet). If you follow their Reddit it might be a feature coming soon, but not entirely sure if this is a source of truth.
I love the no annual fee. And they are one of the only cards you can transfer points to American Airlines, so I primarily use the points to transfer to AAdvantage account.

It's not on their website, but it doesn't currently work with zillows payment platform (this was discussed a few pages back including text from support emails confirming it)
You can email a copy of your receipt from paying normally (ie using a normal bank account, not bilt at all) to bilt and they'll give you the points anyway though but you'd have to manually do it each month.
Just got this card glad I can get something for rent without incurring fees, 1% isn't much but rent is so it equates to an AA flight a year.
one annoyance is it does not integrate with plaid (yet?) so if you use something like rocket money, personal capital or nerd wallet no way to add it there.
in the app, when you look up your "recent point activity" it says:
+12 points
12/30/2022. Earn after 5 transactions
No idea if it is actually enforced; not necessary to find out the hard way.
also in the app, under Bilt Mastercard benefits on the Account tab, you can keep track of how many transactions are currently being counted; there are 5 bars to be lit.
