So this is WILD. I called Best Buy and was told they aren't price matching. Then I called Best Buy again, gave the sku, told them it was the iPad Pro 2021 128GB and staples had it for $599.. she tells me "The SKU you gave me is $599" I refreshed on the Best Buy site, still shows $699 so she helped me to process the purchase at $599

How weird.

My wife went into BB to price match. She gave them the specs and they had to go fetch one from the back. They price matched without issue (except waiting to find a manger and taking up the only open register). When she got back I saw they had given her an 2022 M2 at the $599 price. I think my slickdeals karma is blown for the rest of the year.

My mother was able to pm (for the M1) without issue at another BB in a different state as well.

I would say go for this deal and avoid the M2. You'll never be able to use the full power of the M2 chip any damn ways lol not with iPad OS/tablet

I'm returning my M1 because iPad OS is too crippling. I'll consider upgrading to an M series when iPad OS makes use of it. Stage manager was pretty disappointing.

I have this model, paid around 500 from a military only deal, I've had it about a year and it's good but a couple of things annoy me, they put the camera in a bad place because my fingers are always covering it up when using Face ID , and the battery life is not as good as my older larger iPad…

I doubt it but hope so. Seems $599 is the sweet spot and likely if we see these prices it will likely clear out inventory before such drastic price drop is needed.

Same. Found 256gb SG for 680. Not the greatest deal but decent, and I need more than 128. I figure I'll monitor prices until January and possibly return this one if I find a better deal. I also tried to order a 1tb used/excellent from another vendor for about that price but first order got cancelled and second order had been sitting at pending for a couple of days now. If that one comes through and is in good shape I'll keep it over the BB open box.
