If my kids felt punished by their own 58 inch 4K TV, I'd return it and buy them the 6inch CRT I used as a kid.

Hmm, do I need to upgrade the 42" 720p Panasonic plasma in the basement we don't use much? This is tempting.

Still in stock at most NE Ohio stores as of 6:45AM, so this is not like that sham Walmart sale everyone whined about. And I'm pretty sure these were actually $499 in store, because I remember walking past a display several times at one of the stores I service biweekly. At $500, no way, my new model TCL 5-series 55" was less than that, but $200 is hard to beat.

Yeah, the comments about getting these for people you hate are ridiculous. It may or may not last but it can't be THAT bad of a TV. In the 80's we had one terrible 19" rounded low-def TV in the house, and we survived. Upgrading to a 27" CRT in the 90's was a treat, and the 32" Philips Magnavox I got in like 1999 was like a dream. Now I have more TVs than people in the house and even the worst, oldest one isn't "bad."

Lol... Just talking smack. I'm actually getting one. I have a 32 inch 720p element that has been working for 10 years and it doesn't break 😆

Is anyone purchasing this TV with an extended warranty? After reading reviews of other Element TVs on Target's website, the biggest complaint seems to be that these TV already start to fail within a few months.

Put the tv in my cart at 7pm at the regular price. Checked in it at at 6am central time zone. Still had plenty in stock at the stores in the south suburbs of chicago, and it had automatically reduced to $199. Pretty seamless!

I did. We will see how it goes.
This TV will replace a 10 year old 50" insignia in a guest room.

I have been using a 40 inch Element 4K TV as external monitor for my laptop for the last three years. For one full year, it was on for 8 hours a day from 9 to 5. It supported 2160p resolution at 60hz. Still works great. Every TV manufacture produced lemons. This one is no different. Mine has worked with zero issues. I just bought this 58-inch deal for my new epoxied basement for parties and perhaps Super Bowl. Btw, I have never used tv built-in audio in ages. Always attach it to a hdmi Receiver and speakers.
