I also have an older craftsman tool chest that I bought in the 1990's & I have never had any issues with the drawers sticking like the new set.

HD I think still sells a similar Husky box. They are pretty decent in quality. However you may be better served by surfing your local FB/CL - the older Sears Craftsman boxes are there all the time. I got all of mine that way, and I think I paid $40 for the most expensive one, which was an unused rally box. The others were around $10-20. The rally style are nice as they have a cantilevered tray on top which is nice.
These are comparable with Harbor Freight (HF has been improving, unlike Craftsman).
They are very light duty. Don't expect to use them too often, or put too much into them. They're flimsy with thin metal, horrible ball bearing rails that grind and skip, and random finishing mistakes that should be reserved for "seconds" or "refurbs" -- random blotches of paint, metal burrs, sharp plastic moulding edges, etc.
You know, the exact opposite of "Craftsmanship".
