I have had a front loader since 1999 and never had leaks. My first GE washer was working fine until 2015 and I sold it and bought a bigger GE one. I still have it and works great.
So I just ordered a $12 stacking kit on Amazon. Anyone have suggestions on what else to purchase and have on hand before the installation guy comes?
I'm replacing an existing stacked washer/dryer. Should I buy some exhaust hose in case the existing hose is damaged? Or would the install guy have some and charge it to Costco for the parts?
Yeah, i expected as much, guess we'll just have to do it myself. My old machines just need some maintenance but honestly this costs just a little more than maintenance and I get a a warranty. $850 out the door but I get 4% back and another $40 from my electric provider. In 4 a set! (will need to buy a stacking kit though as it seems to not be included)
Glad you can locate a whole set.
You can ask the delivery guy and see if they are willing to give you a hand on that, maybe even give them some cash.

I am under the impression that hose/parts are all included in Costco's free delivery service, but thats not to say that the delivery guy won't reuse the same old hose just to cut corners and save cost, but I would definitely ask for new hose if you care.
I've been using this washer for a year. It's very good.
Can anyone comment on how long it takes to wash and dry with the set? My grandmother has a 2007 LG set that's been going strong, but I can't stand it personally when I use it. The normal wash cycle takes 78 minutes and normal drying setting is 105 minutes. Feels like an absolute eternity for the small amount or clothes I can fit in and I never use the delicate or second spin option because they add another 15 minutes.

A normal wash can take 45 minutes. There are options for quicker wash cycles that take anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on your preference.
I have a gas dryer. It takes about 20-40 minutes to dry, depending on the size of the load and the type of material.
Most of my loads take about 90 to wash and dry. Smaller loads about 50 minutes.
I read to page 7. I just bought a gas stove from costco.. got a 2 year warranty with it. Bought a 3 year to add to it and then paid w my costco credit card and got 2 extra years of warranty. So for $100 and some bucks i ended up with 7 years warranty. Hadbt read anyone mention that so thought i would.
I have a 15 year old Kenmore (LG) that has been pretty trouble free. I did have to replace the drain pump a few years back ($25 part-amazon), but time for a better brand at a great price.
Whirlpool is not better than LG. More plastic including the door, LG is glass. But I agree, price is great!
Do these ever come back in stock at Costco? In need of washer as ours crapped out this weekend
It is a four year old model being discontinued by Whirlpool, so unlikley to come back in stock.
BUT many other places sell this same model so you may find a slick deal clearance elsewhere

Is this not available for your zip code?
