Yes, apply as a sole proprietor with your social security number instead of an EIN and your business name the exact same as your own legal name. Zero employees. Business income can be listed as little as $1,000 (resale, babysitting whatever it is you do)
Most Ink card require a recon call or get a pop-up saying you will hear about a decision later. About 90% of people get that. Also, most get a low limit ($3-4K)
Remember the $900 comes back as points, not cash (but can be converted to cash).
Got this card mid October for the regular $750/7500 promotion. Called in today to see if I could get the $900/6000 promotion and they did it no problem, just have to have reached the 6000 threshold when calling. In case anyone is in the same situation as I was 👍🏻
No, they most certainly don't, and no, it's not income
I've got 7 figures of Chase UR points and 0 1099s.
It's not income.
The IRS agrees it's not income.
If you have to spend anything to get it, it's a REBATE, not income. Not taxable, No 1099.
Here's a bunch of sources all telling you you're wrong
The only time you get a 1099 from Chase (or any bank) for CREDIT CARD BONUSES is if it's a non spending bonus
Like a referral.
And ONLY if those add up to more than $600 in a year.
NOT for signup bonuses which require spend. Which, again, are not taxable and no 1099 is issued
Also taxable would be things like offering you $ or points for opening a checking or savings account--- because you don't need to SPEND anything. So if that added up to more than $600 you'd get a 1099.
But credit card spend required signups? Not income. No 1099.

Hey so I have some dental work to pay in the next 3 or so months.
Can get this card and pay the $6k for that work and then pay that for the next 12 months with no monthly fees? To be upfront, I have the cash on had for the dental work but I'd like to 1.get a new CC 2.get some money in the process.
Can anyone kindly let me know if I pay within the 12 months the 6k, I won't get hit with a monthly penalty? I think this isn't a charge card where you need to pay every $ spent using the card within 30 days.

The last bullet point in the Details section of this deal thread states that there's a "0% introductory APR for 12 months on purchases". So yes, this particular card should work for what you're looking for.
Note that not all credit cards have this 0% intro APR benefit. Meaning, you would get charged with interest if you don't pay off your monthly statement credit card balance.

Thanks. Just wanted to make sure I got that right.
I haven't applied for a new CC in like 2-3yrs. I have over 780 credit score now so I should be approved....I hope. I'll respond back in a couple days as I need to sort something out.
So, we spend about $3k/month in groceries, kids' activities, medical bills, online purchases, etc. Do I need to only put business expenses on this card, or would it be okay to use it as our everyday card for a couple of months? Would they flag it and give me trouble for that?
Chase doesn't actually track your purchases to see which are personal, & which are business - please feel free to use the card for personal expenses. I've done that for over 10 years on multiple business cards (including Chase) - no problem.

If u have a real business u can't do that if u don't have a business yeah u can do that

But surely they won't approve someone who says their business income is $1k! And also usually business credit cards say you MUST use them for business..

I've been approved for Chase business credit cards in the past, and I would enter a nominal amount on the income field (like $100). I think the form used to let you enter $0 but not anymore.
And like others have stated in this thread, Chase doesn't police how you use the card once it's in your hand.
can I just Paypal, Venmo my partner 2k over 3 months and get the $900 bonus minus my fees. I just want to make sure it triggers the bonus? Thanks in advance

yeah, but is there a law related to it? Or as long as you don't claim personal expenses as business it won't matter what you used to pay with?
I seriously was declined for even a crappy best buy CC when I put more income than that and I have great credit history too, so I just feel like anything is going to cause a decline. I think I was declined for some other cc with a normal income amount oo.
You have any idea of the best ongoing signup bonus for a non-business card with no annual fee? I think I got an offer for %$750-800 for a chase card that isn't business, but then it has like a $95 annual fee without it ever waived.
I am thinking about getting a new cc, checking acct, and savings acct to try to pull in an extra grand or more. lol.
