Yes, apply as a sole proprietor with your social security number instead of an EIN and your business name the exact same as your own legal name. Zero employees. Business income can be listed as little as $1,000 (resale, babysitting whatever it is you do)
Most Ink card require a recon call or get a pop-up saying you will hear about a decision later. About 90% of people get that. Also, most get a low limit ($3-4K)
Remember the $900 comes back as points, not cash (but can be converted to cash).
Got this card mid October for the regular $750/7500 promotion. Called in today to see if I could get the $900/6000 promotion and they did it no problem, just have to have reached the 6000 threshold when calling. In case anyone is in the same situation as I was 👍🏻
No, they most certainly don't, and no, it's not income
I've got 7 figures of Chase UR points and 0 1099s.
It's not income.
The IRS agrees it's not income.
If you have to spend anything to get it, it's a REBATE, not income. Not taxable, No 1099.
Here's a bunch of sources all telling you you're wrong
The only time you get a 1099 from Chase (or any bank) for CREDIT CARD BONUSES is if it's a non spending bonus
Like a referral.
And ONLY if those add up to more than $600 in a year.
NOT for signup bonuses which require spend. Which, again, are not taxable and no 1099 is issued
Also taxable would be things like offering you $ or points for opening a checking or savings account--- because you don't need to SPEND anything. So if that added up to more than $600 you'd get a 1099.
But credit card spend required signups? Not income. No 1099.

Hi. I dont have a business. Can someone confirm they applied using their SSN and sole proprietor? What max credit lime did you ask? ($4k?)
Also I see Ink Business Cash and Ink Business Unlimited on my Chase app as available Business card options. It would be better to go with the Cash version, right? I never have had Ink in the past.
I thought this doesn't pull my credit report but it did maybe because i put in ssn and sole proprietorship
Nope, any time you apply for a major credit card like this, it will do a hard pull. Even a fricken Amazon store card sponsored by a Synchrony bank did a hard pull on me. If you are not sure about hard pull or soft pull, Google the question about it and there will be answers displayed for you immediately. A hard pull on this card is worth it, not a stupid Amazon store card or any retail store card like Home Depot, etc..
Got rejected, credit score is 844 and no new credit cards in the last 2 years, have had an account with Chase for about 4 years.
Did they say the reason why? Nowadays the credit card company will send a letter to you through your email. I got rejection from Citi and got a response email letter and no physical letter.

I do not have a business. Applied using SSN and sole proprietor listed, made up a # for business income. Was not asked what credit limit I wanted, was given $14k

"insufficient installment loan information" I have loans.... I ended up calling the reconsideration line and after about 10 minutes of questions I got approved.

Congratulations...I wish I have a new one. I already have one for like 20 years and not close yet. I wonder will they give me a new one?
Anyone go with the Ink Business Premier instead? Yes, it has a $195 annual fee and requires $10,000 in purchases during first 3 months, but you receive $1,000 bonus and looks like 2% back on all purchases.
NM: I now see those points cannot be transferred to other cards or partners.
Ok I just applied and I got the message that it's being reviewed and be in touch soon. I suppose via mail. (Sole proprietor, 1k month spend, 5k annual gross profit)
Have credit score 780+. (805 via Discover credit check)
If I get a letter in the next few days, should I call them to reconsider my application? It's likely I was denied but I won't know I guess until I get the physical letter.
Why do they do this btw? Why can't they just tell you asap?
Edit: just checked my email and have been approved! Not sure the credit limit or anything but the email took about 2hrs to get to me.
I have dental work that I will use for this and get some cashback.
any ideas on how to churn the $6k?
Dont have any such large purchases coming up in the near future, so just trying to figure out what would be the best way to spend the money without really spending it lol
Paypal is one way, but it comes at a $217 cost to do so, which would essentially eat out of the $900 cash back that you'd get from this card, which in turn make is a worser deal that it actually is...
Any ideas?
Property tax if you have one but the county will charge you 2.9% on credit card. It is ok to me because the cash back on that will offset around 60% of that charge.

There is something on your credit report that they have to think about it. That means you have a better chance of approval instead of denying immediately after submitting application. I am not surprised that you will be approved. If they deny you, call the reconsideration number and prepare to speak nicely no matter what they ask.

Thanks.
I did end up getting approved. I will say I have 3 regular chase cards. This is my first ink Business card and it's been like 2 yrs since I got any credit card.

Congratulations you got a big bonus on credit card. Sorry I didn't read your message entirely before responding to you. Anyway I already have 3 Chase credit cards too (Ink cash, ink unlimited, freedom). I would like to apply this ink cash but worry that they might deny me because I already have ink cash and get 4 points decrease. It would be sweet if I get this because I am going to pay my property tax that is around $6000.
I need help with combine Chase Ultimate Rewards points between my accounts.
I have Ultimate Rewards points from Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Freedom and Chase Ink Business Cash. I'm hoping to get my points from the Chase Ink Unlimited Cash credit cards soon after I met the spending threshold.
Issues that I have:
When I try to combine points in the Ultimate Rewards portal from the Chase Ink Business Cash login, it does not have an account for me to transfer points to. How do I add the Chase Sapphire Preferred card here so I can transfer the points to?
When I try to combine points in the Ultimate Rewards portal from the Chase Sapphire Preferred login, I can combine points from my Chase Freedom to my Chase Sapphire Preferred or vise versa, but no points from Chase Ink Business Cash available here. How do I add the Chase Ink Business Cash so I can combine its points with other Chase credit cards?
If you have done this before, please show me how to combine points from the Ink Business Cash to the Chase Sapphire Preferred, so I can transfer the combined points to the Travel Partners.
Just in case someone have the same issue that I have.
I called the number on the back of my Chase Sapphire Preferred CC and asked if they can add the Chase Ink card to my Chase Sapphire Preferred's Ultimate Rewards account, so I can combine the points. They said that I can no longer do it online, but they can transfer it for me. So they did for me and the points were instantly transferred to my Chase Sapphire Preferred's Ultimate Rewards.
