Was looking at this deal the other day but I decided against it. Now it's far too cheap to pass up! In for two!

Because it keeps food fresher than in its open container. Nowadays food waste is especially problematic with the steadily rising prices.

Holy cow, I was eyeing this set recently when it was $20. Didn't realize this was that same set as recently.

Also prevents/controls flour beetles from getting into your foods like flour, oats, cornmeal, pasta, rice, etc. They can eat through paper and thin plastic (once we got infested, they'd even eat through brand new oatmeal packages and have a full fledged buffet in there before we even got to open it) so most original packaging for these items won't protect against them. Only way to protect against them or get rid of them for good is to plastic wrap the crap out of your bulk items or repackage them in airtight containers.

Absolutely true.

I also like to mix cereals that I buy. So containers like these are also super convenient for that and making home-made trailmix to take on hikes and trips.

on that note I find it funny they keep showing pasta in the photos as if they need an airtight container and aren't stored in boxes for years
