I saw the redesigned icemaker comment. Hey..awesome...assuming that the redesign actually works, that is placing a bandaid on a gushing head wound.
And yes, I know there are a lot of people wondering what I am talking about.
Clearly, you have not owned a Samsung fridge...or you have not owned one for 3 years.
There are entire forums dedicated to Samsung fridges. The problems are not on a single model, they are across the line. And the problems were not all about the icemaker, but almost every component.....and...in the Samsung business model on fridges itself.
(They want you to have to call Samsung and use a Samsung repairman...so they constrain the parts. Just call your local appliance parts supplier and ask them how well stocked they are on replacement parts for these fridges.)
Yes, I know the question that many are asking....wait...if Samsung is so bad, how are they winning awards like JD Power? Because JD Power does not track a product past 18 months. To be fair, if you do not plan for a fridge to last more than 18 months, you will likely be fine. But if you start with crazy expectations...like 10 years....well good luck with that.
I strongly suggest that anybody who is considering this, go do a little research.

Which one of these is better, *confused* now
As our repair guy said, you don't buy them you rent them since once the warranty is up you can't afford to have it fixed.
At least they look good.

The four door layout wastes a lot of freezer space. We wish we had bought the full depth version.
