it's a phenomonal deal been going for a while, look at that german made, beautiful bolsterless design. Wusthof charges a lot more and this design is arguably better (at least than wusthof classic)

It's a great deal on great knives. Some might argue they're a tad small but 7" is perfectly adequate IMO.

Check your local Target. I randomly found Henckels knives for 70% off a few weeks ago. Very solid knives!
Henckels line is their budget version of the regular Zwilling lines. a good tell between the two is 1 person is the budget and 2 people is the higher end. i have 2 Henckels sets and pretty happy with them but this might make me try the nicer stuff

7" Rocking Santoku Knife is my favorite knife. Trigger Alert... I put it in the bosh dish washer every day. Pots and Pans sanitize cycle. 8 years and has never rusted. It holds an edge really well.

I've taken China/Thailand made Henckels from garage sales and such and cleaned/sharpened them up and ended up with knives that are more than suitable for anything I do in the kitchen. They look like budget knives, especially compared to the Germany made ones, but perform much better than they look.

This deal, I feel people's pain. No need whatsoever yet no idea how I'm going to stop myself from buying them.

Many do hold up to dishwashers even if recommended to hand wash. All NSF rated ones are supposed to hold up in the dishwasher. I've worked in enough kitchens (and seen enough episodes of Forensic Files) though to want to know where all of the knives are at all times, so they all get hand washed, hand dried and placed in a drawer.

If you really want a knife that will hold up in a dishwasher, the Russell International ones are perfect. Cheap, balanced, decent weight, take and hold an sharp edge and the molded handles are comfy and completely impervious to water, detergent, heat, whatever.

Here's one that Costco sell. $18 for two 10" chef's knives.

https://www.costco.com/russell-10...77377.html

Amazon want $30 for the same thing.

Good deal on forged knives. The Santoku by itself is normally about $80 and the 7" slim chef's knife is closer to $100, I believe.

Good score on the garage sale ones, but not all Henckels International knives are the same quality. Some are made with better European steel, but manufactured in Asia to save money. Others are cheap steel.
