ELAC models with the concentric mid and tweeter sound very similar to the KEFs. Both come from the same philosophy and share some heritage, too.
Just sell the extra one on Craigslist. I'm sure you'll find someone to buy it for around $150
Second hand one might be great for you. Often when one is damaged, a single speaker sells for cheap

These speakers are awesome, imo. I got these like 5 years ago for PC speakers. I got a 2nd set a year ago for my 2nd TV (I have floor standing KEFs for my main TV for 15 years and love those as well). I'm considering ordering a 3rd set to use as center speakers as I am using an old crappy center speaker for my 2nd TV.
I've walked around best buy and other places with speakers and prefer these KEFs to pretty much everything else I've heard.
These or the triangle boreas that always get posted? Or something else?!
Not sure if it's useful info, but I used to own the early Kefs, Q100s -- and I can't say they were necessarily an upgrade over the S15s. I actually preferred the S15s due to Kefs being a bit too bright for my tastes. I ended up selling my Q100s and kept my Polks.
Now the Q150s may in fact be better, or maybe your ears prefer the Kef sound. But I wouldn't say for certain the Kefs are even an upgrade... more like a side-grade, and it'll be more personal preference as to which you'll prefer.
So just keep the receipt and compare directly... don't get rid of the Polks until you test them head to head.
Don't worry about a matching sub. It's the only time you can really get away with mixing and matching. Go for a small sealed SVS sub if you're worried about space. They come in white and black and have tons of power
I did that with Q100s and it's a great setup. At this price, just gotta bite and buy two pairs and sell one.
